When Ginny Walley was diagnosed with breast cancer at age 40, she decided to get a second opinion. Little did she know her decision would lead her on an extraordinary journey of hope and radical faith.
Show Notes:
As Ginny Walley will tell you, being diagnosed with breast cancer is no vacation, which ironically, is when she discovered a lump. But instead of moving forward with treatment, she says she was led to contact Cancer Treatment Centers of America (CTCA). “God must be leading me to this place,” she says. “That’s where hope began for me.”
After undergoing treatment, Ginny talks about her life-changing transition into CTCA’s Southeastern Regional Medical Center in Atlanta, Georgia. Starting work in the finance department, Ginny now facilitates the Cancer Fighters program, where she is fulfilling her call in supporting and nurturing other cancer patients. “It has been the most amazing experience,” she says. “I’ve learned that it’s not all about Ginny. There’s a lot more out there in life. Knowing with guidance of God—I could make a difference in these people that are walking through these doors every day.”
