The power of giving of self.
Show Notes:
Getting behind the microphone with Rev. Percy McCray is Mark Barnes, a 31-year employee of the Cancer Treatment Centers of America® (CTCA), who currently works at CTCA® Atlanta. Mark is a member of the Guest Services department at CTCA and is the first person many cancer patients meet as they enter the front door.
“One of my main priorities is, I meet them, and I greet them at the door and I welcome them, and then I’ll take a few minutes to celebrate them, let them know, especially the new patients, that they’re in a place that’s all about them,” he says.
“Every morning when I get up, I always want to be someone’s miracle every day,” he tells Rev. McCray. “That’s the way I live my life. And so, what I do is when I get to work, I just say, ‘God, let me be a blessing to these patients.’”
Sit back now and listen to this gentle servant whose mantra is, “it’s not here I am, but there you are.”
