Show Notes:

During this week’s episode, host Rev. Percy McCray is joined by endometrial cancer patient Rev. Teirrah McNair, Senior Pastor of Fountain of Life Global Christian Ministries in Menlo Park, California. Pastor McNair was diagnosed in August 2021 and at the time of this interview, was still undergoing treatment.

Rev. McNair, a loyal listener of Health, Hope & Inspiration, reached out to Rev. McCray to share her cancer journey testimony which led to her joining the show.

During this discussion, listeners will hear from this spiritual leader who focuses on community outreach, about her active journey with cancer. Rev. McNair tells the story of being told that she had cancer just before going on stage to preside at a ceremony honoring community youth.

“They [doctors] had called earlier that day and I missed the call,” she says. “What they had said to me of course, if it’s malignant, you know, we’ll call you, and if it’s good, we’ll email you.”

Listen to this amazing leader of hope and inspiration, who makes clear her feelings about having cancer.

“I was thinking there may be something wrong with me, because I don’t feel afraid,” she says. “I haven’t felt emotional or teary or anything like that.”

Quotes:

  • “I don’t know how God is going to do this, but I know that I know that I know that He is going to see me through. And that was the attitude …”
  • “What amazed me more than anything else even after I’d had that conversation [being diagnosed], was that I did not experience the spirit of fear, praise God, as so many have.”
  • “As a pastor, you walk people through these kinds of situations. And, and I had also recently lost my sister.”
