I’ve certainly interviewed many health care professionals and have felt privileged to speak with them all. But my time behind the virtual HHI studio microphone with City of Hope Atlanta Naturopathic Provider Daniel Kellman, ND, helped unpack the breadth of naturopathic principles and their appropriate use to help cancer patients.
Daniel was motivated at an early age while watching his father, who could be considered an old-fashioned country doctor in Tennessee, use natural remedies, such as acupuncture, herbal medicine and nutrition in the 1970s and 80s.
“[Naturopathic providers] believe that there is a healing power of nature,” he says. “When we put the right ingredients together, good things can happen.”
